Called USJ driving to register

Took my undang talk
The driving school brought me to a place called Surfine Hitech somewhere in Damansara for the talk. The place was quite run down and it feels as if the place is gonna fall apart.
I had to pay RM 200 for the talk and RM 10 for a mykad like card.
There was a choice of English and Malay for the talk. I choose the English talk and I got ripped off as the speaker’s English was retarded and all he talked about was road signs. His jokes weren’t lame, the only thing I was laughing at was the way he spoke.
Yes I did wanted to sleep but the table was on the chair so it wasn’t comfortable at all to sleep on the tiny little table provided.
After the talk, I met someone who went to the Malay talk and he said that the talk was great. I should have taken that, after all I haven’t communicated in Malay for a long time. I was stuttering while talking to a Malay guy.
25th October 2008
Went for the undang test, which was conducted using computers somewhere in ss15 and I passed.
I also got my picture taken for my license.
Somehow I might have accidentally talked during the photo shoot and my photo looks retarded. I didn’t know until they printed out my pictures. Anyway, its just my driving license, the more retarded the better.

Took my pre-L course 6 hours at Surfine Hitech. Cost me another RM 200
Seriously boring. They talked about what you must do on the road and how to pass the exam. At least its much more useful and informative than the undang talk.
2nd December 2008
1st on the road lesson and I paid another RM 500 to the driving school. The reason my lessons started so late was because there was some problems with getting my L licence. You need the L licence to learn driving with your instructor and you only can take the driving test 1 month after getting the L licence.
Not that bad, driving was a breeze. Just need to press the pedals and control that wheel in front of me.
Just that at one time I stalled at a traffic light. The light went from red to green and then to red again. I feel sorry for making the aunty behind me wait.
One more thing is that I got bullied on the highway. Cars overtaking me using the emergency lane on the left and trying to kiss my ass. And there was this time where a lorry tried to flatten me, the very long one around 30 feet long.
9th December 2009
Its 9.56 AM and i am supposed to be driving right now. Somehow the instructor ffked me(I think ffk means didn’t turn up).
Ive got scammed, I slept late last night and I woke up early for nothing and thank god Ive got nothing to do at 11.
Maybe its just my face. I get scammed all the time
23rd December 2008
After a few more lessons I went for the trial test, didn’t drive so well but its only a trial. The trial test is necessary for you to take the proper test. My instructor asked whether I wanted to take a guarantee pass package for RM 200 for my driving test(I don’t know what happens to the money, maybe the instructor will pray for me by giving the RM 200 to someone). I gave it some thought and somehow I rejected it because I wanted to save some money and Ive always liked hard mode.
31st December 2008
After taking 10 hours of lessons, Today is my driving test.
There are two tests we need to pass to get our license.
The on the road test, and the circuit(slope, parking and 3 point turn test).
For the on the road test, we need to drive the instructor around a course on public roads with traffic.
The route
For the circuit, we need to pass three different tests, slope, parking and the 3 point turn.
For the slope, we need to stop the car on a line and then move forward without rolling back. Using the handbrake its a piece of cake.
For the parking test we need to park the car in the box and get it out. The poles makes parking very easy. All I needed to do was folow what my instructor thaught me. Stop beside the pole, count 7 poles, reverse till the right rear wheel touches the line, turn the steering fully to the right and reverse until the end and then move turn the steering to the left and move forward. Its very easy and getting out is even easier.
Lastly is the 3 point turn which only lets us make 3 movements with the car to U turn the car out of a dead end. I Just need to becareful not to stall or stop the car too early.
My driving school came and pick me up at 7 am. The test starts at 8 am and it takes place somewhere in Shah Alam. I was extremely nervous the whole morning because I talked with a few persons the night before and all of them said to me that passing is impossible without praying to someone.
Each candidate is given a number and they are we are made to wait until we are randomly chosen for the test.
After around one and a half hours of waiting, my number got called for the on the road test.
MY nervousness which slowly disappeared during the waiting time suddenly came back. Luckily i still remembered to do all the necessary things before moving off. Adjusting the seats, mirrors, wearing the seat belt, checking the signal lights and wiper.
Only after getting out of the center and getting on the main road everything went well. I guess im lucky because every time I reached a roundabout it was clear, all four roundabouts and all the traffic lights were green. Well one turned yellow but I still went through as I can’t stop in time. Since nothing bad and terrible happened and nobody or nothing got hurt, I passed =)
Ive got 18 marks out of 20, the passing mark is 16. I lost marks for using my signal lights wrongly and not using the appropriate gear. I might have remembered using the wrong gear but I have no idea when I misused my signal lights. Anyway I don’t think this will matter, some Malaysians don’t use their signal lights anyway.
After that I waited another long hour until it was my turn to take on the circuit. Somehow I simply jumped in a car only to realize that its a very old kancil, the one without a RPM meter. The only way to know the RPM is by listening to the sound. Anyway, I passed
Finally got back home at 1pm after waiting for the results slip and other stuff. Now I need to wait about a week for my licence so that I can drive on the roads.
The cost
The total cost was:
200- undang talk and test
10 -book
10-Useless red smart card
13- L picture
200- pre L talk and L license
500- Driving lessons and driving exam
200-Praying money(didn’t take)
80-P license for 2 years
Total for me was RM 1013
By the way, I don’t like my driving school so don’t ask me for their number. Now I wonder how long will it take them to get my license.
